Memorial Day Camping Trip!!!

We were able to go camping for a couple of days this Memorial Day weekend. It wasn't long but we got to do everything that we wanted and the kids had a blast. Here is a picture of the two of them so excited to go camping. We are on our way up to Island Park. And then these are the rest of the pictures from the trip.

Carter and Macie enjoying some Oreo cookies by the fire.

The Pepsi family!

Macie's 1st MARSHMALLOW. Needless to say it was not her last. She would have eaten the entire bag if I had let her.

Carter and Daddy made Oreo S'mores. He loved them.

Two tough boys riding in a very girly car!

Carter was so proud that he was driving his little sister around!!! He loves his baby sister!

Macie took a face plant right in the mud. It had rained a little before we got there and the ground was really uneven but she didn't want to be held so... She ended up laying face down in a mud puddle. She was so mad she just laid there crying until I came and picked her up.

We didn't take our trailer so we got to stay with my mom and dad in their trailer. There were really a lot of us but somehow we managed to find a spot for everyone to sleep. Carter loved being able to make his own little special bed on the floor.

Monday morning my dad, Dave, and Carter got up and went to Henry's Lake to do some fishing. When I got there Carter had already caught one fish and a few minutes later he was reeling in his second fish. He didn't really understand the whole thing but he thought the finished result of getting the fish out of the water was really fun. My dad gave him his very own fishing pole that used to be my grandpa's.

Such a big fish for such a little guy.

What a face!

Carter had to get close with Grandpa to check his fish out...

...that is until the fish started moving. Then he decided to keep his distance.

This is Carter's 1st time catching his limit on Henry's Lake. Good Job Carter!

FINALLY!!! Dave finally caught a fish on Henry's Lake. He only waited 5 years for this fish. And now he can say he has caught TWO fish on Henry's.
WAY TO GO HONEY!!!

This is all the fish we caught that morning.

Macie's 1st four wheeler ride. She didn't like it at all!
Here are the kids on the way back home. They are completely exhausted. We had a great time and when we got home Carter said "Why are we home we need to go camping again." What fun memories.

Last Week

Tuesday was soccer day and it was a great day outside. Carter has enjoyed going out with his dad each week to kick around the soccer ball. Macie got into the action this last week and stole someones ball. Carter's favorite part of each week is being able to put his hands in the circle and yell "GOOD JOB". Today is our last day of soccer and they are actually going to be able to play a little game.

Our little thief!

Carter learning to bounce the ball off his head. He thought that was so funny.

"GOOD JOB"

After playing soccer we went to Dave's work and he took Carter in and they came out with a Root Beer for him. When we got home he was so tired that he didn't even drink any of it before he fell asleep on his dads leg.
Thursday Carter had his cousins over for the evening while their mom had to work and it was such a nice night that we took a ton of blankets on the tramp and put a TV and movie on a table for them to watch. They loved it. We popped popcorn and they had baggies of Starbursts. We had them over again on Friday night and they liked it so much that they wanted to do it again but we went to the park and had a picnic instead.
Friday Macie had her first whole Corn Dog. She wouldn't take it unless it looked like Carter's. She ended up eating the entire thing. She is our eater.
Saturday was our little family day. We slept in and then just hung around the house. We played Guitar Hero in the morning. It was fun to watch the kids. Carter got his own guitar out and pretended to play with us and then Macie was our little dancer. That is until she got a hold of the cereal bag and dumped them out all over the floor. She was so proud of herself. She was nice enough to help us clean them up.

Carter is such a big helper. I didn't even have to ask him to help us clean the cereal up and he was down there helping.

Best Seat in the House!

Macie has declared this her seat. She always races Carter to it and she usually wins. Sometimes she will share with him but not always.

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day was great. I enjoyed the day a lot. I was able to spend the day at home with my two joys of life. I got a beautiful hanging basket for the yard. I found a perfect spot for it and it looks great. That evening we had Jan and Bill and Nic and Jershon over for a cook out. They got out the Guitar Hero and had fun playing that.

Getting so good at walking!

Macie is getting so good at walking. She has mastered the art of carrying things while she is walking. Carter has had fun with her lately. He likes that she can walk. They are best friends. He loves her so much. He says all the time that he is her teacher and he has to teach her how to do everything.

Fun New Chairs!

We have had these for a while now but the other day Carter discovered them downstairs so he had me blow them up and then both kids had a blast playing with them.

She has taken control!

Macie is officially in control of the whole house. She thinks it is hullarious to try to change the channels while you are watching something.

Week at a Glance

I thought summer was here but it has been raining so much and it is so windy that we can't be outside playing yet. The good thing about the rain is that I haven't had to water my yard. The kids are doing good but they are wanting to be outside swinging and jumping. Carter had soccer on Tuesday. It was fun he is pretty good at doing what the coach tells him to do. He gets tired after about 45 minutes. Macie likes to watch him, this week though she kept wanting to walk over to him and join in. She had to settle for pushing the stroller around. The grass was so bumpy that she kept getting the wheels stuck and so she would stop and throw all the stuff she had gathered out of the stroller as if she thought that was causing her to not be able to push the stroller. My mom and I were laughing pretty hard. Grandma Jan stopped by last night to see the kids. They had fun with her. Carter woke up this morning with a stuffy nose. I hope it doesn't turn into anything but we will just have to wait and see. Well, that was our week at a glance.
