No RESULTS!!! But Carter is doing GREAT!

We just got back from the doctor and I have to say I am a little, okay a lot disappointed.  I was really anxious to hear the results of Carter's biopsy but unfortunetly the results were not in yet.  So I am continuing to wait.  I have this feeling that everything is just fine, but there is always that chance and that small chance is what is really getting to me today.  I am hoping that we find out tonight or first thing tomorrow.  In the mean time, Carter is being such a trooper.  His foot is starting to heal.  He has started to walk on it a little bit today.  We were able to put a new bandage on it.  It probably feels better to not have such a huge thing on his foot.  We had to go to the store this morning and get some more popsicles.  Well, that is all the updates for now.  We will keep you updated.

Another trip to the Hospital for our Carter Man!

Well about a month ago Dave and I noticed a dark colored spot on Carter's foot.  I thought it was just a bruise but a couple of weeks later the bruise had developed into a small bump.  And then a couple of weeks after that I noticed that it had developed into a rather large discolored bump.  It seemed to be growing really fast.  So, on Macie's birthday when we went to see Steve and Cheri I decided to ask Cheri and Sherri what they thought about it.  Since they are both nurses.  They both said that they thought it was worth having Carter's Doctor take a look at.  So the next Monday I took Carter to see his Doctor and he wasn't sure what it was so he referred us to Dr. James a Podiatrist.  A couple of days later we had an appointment with Dr. James.  His first reaction was that he wasn't sure what it was but he called it a Dermatofibroma and he wanted to try some cream to see if we could shrink it.  So we made an appointment to come back in 3 weeks.  Well, 3 weeks later it had only gotten bigger.  So the doctor told us that he recommended taking the lump out.  He wanted to Biopsy it and the skin around it.  That doctor's appointment was on Tuesday of this last week and we were scheduled to go into surgery on Friday.  This seemed to all be happening so fast.  It was a little hard to process everything,  Although, the more I think about that the better it was that I didn't have a lot of time to sit around and think about it.
This is the night before surgery.  Carter and Macie fell asleep on the floor.  I was trying to keep Carter up as long as possible because he couldn't have anything to eat the next morning and I wanted him to sleep in as much as possible.
Carter was a great patient.  All the nurses absolutely loved him.  He seemed a little nervous but he was so brave.  He didn't even fuss when all the nurses got him ready for surgery.
Here is a picture of the lump on the day of the sugery.
Carter loved the bed.  He thought it was so cool.  He kept going up and down, up and down.
Before he went to the pre-op room they gave him a little medicine to help him relax and honestly Dave and I couldn't stop laughing at how loopy he was.  The surgery lasted a little over an hour and then we went to a room for recovery.  The surgery went really well.  The doctor said that he got it all out and he had sent samples to Pathology to be tested.  I am releaved the surgery went so well.  Now I am just anxious to get the results.
Grandma Jan came over after we got home from the hospital and brought Carter a new Dinosaur book with cardboard Dinosaurs to build.
He has had a lot of visitors and gifts from people.  Grandma "T" and Grandpa came over and brought Carter a new Dinosaur that walks and roars.  And Collin, Sarah, and Brandon came over with a get well monkey.
We have been eating a lot of popcicles and watching a lot of movies these last couple of day.  Today has been the roughest day so far.  Carter has not walked on his foot at all.  He says it hurts really bad.  We did give him a bath today and I think that helped make him feel a little better.  We will keep you posted on his progress and the results of the biopsy.

EASTER!!!

Easter was really a lot of fun this year.  We started off by having an Easter Egg Hunt with all of our friends from the ward.  We had a pot luck lunch and all the kids got to find eggs.
My little chef!  Good job Macie.
Carter is being so careful to make each cookie perfect.  Way to go Carter Man!
Grandma "T" came over a couple of days before Easter to make cookies with us.  Lots of holiday fun!
Saturday morning we colored Easter Eggs.  Carter and Macie had fun picking all the different colors.
Most of Macie's Eggs ended up broken. But they still looked beautiful.
Most of Carter's Eggs were BLUE!  And almost completely covered in stickers.
Easter morning Carter ran out of his room and asked if the Easter Bunny had come to his house.  They were so excited to see what he had brought.
Macie loved her Easter surprise.
Carter was so excited that he got a Pillow Pet.
Lots of CANDY!!!
For Easter Dinner we went to Grandma "T's" and Grandpa's house.  Grandpa cooked Ham dinner.  Macie had to be right by his side to watch and help him.
After dinner everyone lined up to run out in the yard and get their colored eggs.  Macie knew exactly what she was doing this year.  It was really fun to watch all of them.
Macie was finding all of hers and trying to help Carter find his.
Carter was so fast at finding all the blue ones.  Good Job!
Macie was completely exhausted after the egg hunt so she asked my mom to rock her.  Of course my mom couldn't refuse something like that.
After the kids had done just about everything else they all wanted to go swimming.  This was the first time that they have been all together in the hot tub and I think they had a blast.  All in all it was a great Easter.  Carter did however, fall on his way back into the house after swimming and he cut his head a little but everything was okay.  My tough boy.

Macie's Birthday Party!

The Saturday after Macie's real Birthday we had a party for her.  It was at our house and the theme was Princesses.  She helped me decorate the entire house, we even hung princesses from the ceiling in the family room.  We had everyone over for pizza as part of the party.  That was really fun.  These are all of her cousins.
It was a nice enough day that the kids were able to go outside and jump on the tramp.  Macie got to jump with the bigger kids.  Thanks Shelby for helping her.  She had fun tackling all of the older kids.
Excited Birthday Girl!
She got a whole bunch of stuff for her birthday but these next couple of pictures are the things that she loved.  This Ariel doll can go in the water with her.  Talk about making bath time more fun.

Our Princess has her own chair now.  She loves it and she is very protective of it.  She doesn't just let anyone sit there and Carter has to make sure he askes before he sits, even if she isn't sitting there at that moment.
This bike was her big present from Mom and Dad.  She loves it.  She is still getting used to the whole pedalling thing.
Two handsome DUDE'S
A Queen for the day, A Princess forever!
Macie Moo and her Princess Cake.  I think she liked it.
My Macie is 2!!!
Here is the cake.  I was very proud of this one.  I thought it turned out great

Macie's Birthday

Macie woke up nice and early on her birthday.  Carter was so excited to help her play with the balloons that were all over her floor.
What FUN!!!
Peek-A-Boo Birthday Girl!
For Lunch we went to Leo's Macie loves to ride the tractor, train, and motorcyle rides.
After Leo's we went to Toys R Us to spend her gift certificate.  They gave her a special hat and a balloon and then she picked this bag to carry around.  Such a girl.
That night we went to Grandma Jan's and Grandpa's house to see Steve and Cheri who were here for a visit.  It was really fun to see everyone.  Cheri make cupcakes for Macie and we all sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
She loves anything sweet.
This is the entire Vasas Family.  It was fun to have everyone together.
