April 2012

It has been a really long time since I have updated my blog so I thought I would work on getting caught up a little.  I had to go clear back up to April so here are some things that happened in April.  After Easter we started celebrating the nice weather with a kids fair.  This was probably one of the funnest Saturdays that I have spent with the kids.  The next few pictures are of Macie with all the princesses that she met.  She was in little girl heaven.
Macie with Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel
Macie and Ariel
Macie and Belle
Carter and Landon with Mario
Macie and The Tooth fairy

Carter and Macie got on the Bull and rode it until they fell off.  They loved it.
Carter and Shrek
Carter, Macie, Kailey, and Sydnee with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider
Macie and Tiana
Carter and Mr. Incredible
Macie and Snow White
Macie and Cinderella with Rapunzel
Macie was exhausted so she stole Landon's spot and then promised me that it was okay because she could just hold Landon.
At the end of the day they got their picture taken with Boots, Dora, and Diego!
Such a fun day!

After the Kids Fair Dave and I took the kids to the Monster Truck show in Pocatello.  Landon stayed home with my parents because the monster trucks were so loud.  Carter and Macie had a blast.  We had ear plugs for all of us.  The kids thought that was fun too.
Dave and Carter enjoying the show.
Carter got his very own monster truck.
Macie got her own Monster truck too.
I was able to catch Carter looking at me and the truck in the air at the same time.
I would be so scared to be in this truck
There were a couple of accidents but no one got hurt.
This truck stood like this for what seemed like forever.
A very cool show!

These were a couple of really cute pictures that I got one Sunday.

My three joys!

Carter ended up in the hospital in April.  We were in Dairy Queen about to order lunch and Macie came running to me screaming that Carter was about to throw up.  When I got to him I realized he was actually choking.  He had put a quarter in his mouth to make it wet and accidentally swallowed it.  It got lodged in the back of his throat and he wasn't breathing.  I gave him the Heimlich and was able to get the quarter moved enough that he could breath a little.  I was thankfully with my parents so they kept Macie and Landon and I put Carter in the car and raced to the hospital.  I don't know that I have ever been so scared in my life.  When we arrived at the hospital they took us right back and got an x-ray of his throat and then decided that they needed to go in and get it out.  Dave rushed over from work and my parents brought the other two kids  to the hospital.  It took a little longer to get the quarter out because as they went in to get it, the quarter kept moving further and further down into his stomach.  They finally found it and they were able to get it out.
Macie was very worried about her big brother.  She even started to cry when she got to the ER and saw him.  I kept telling her that she did such a good job telling me that he was choking so that we could help him. That seemed to make her feel a little better.
Carter, his quarter, and another bear to add to the colorful collection that we have started of hospital bears.

$10.00 Addmission

Dave and I found Carter out in front of our house with this sign on Macie's bike.  He was selling rides on her bike or addmission to the backyard for $10.00.  Dave and I are still laughing.  He really wants to earn some extra money for some new Skylanders.
