EASTER!!!

Easter was really a lot of fun this year.  We started off by having an Easter Egg Hunt with all of our friends from the ward.  We had a pot luck lunch and all the kids got to find eggs.
My little chef!  Good job Macie.
Carter is being so careful to make each cookie perfect.  Way to go Carter Man!
Grandma "T" came over a couple of days before Easter to make cookies with us.  Lots of holiday fun!
Saturday morning we colored Easter Eggs.  Carter and Macie had fun picking all the different colors.
Most of Macie's Eggs ended up broken. But they still looked beautiful.
Most of Carter's Eggs were BLUE!  And almost completely covered in stickers.
Easter morning Carter ran out of his room and asked if the Easter Bunny had come to his house.  They were so excited to see what he had brought.
Macie loved her Easter surprise.
Carter was so excited that he got a Pillow Pet.
Lots of CANDY!!!
For Easter Dinner we went to Grandma "T's" and Grandpa's house.  Grandpa cooked Ham dinner.  Macie had to be right by his side to watch and help him.
After dinner everyone lined up to run out in the yard and get their colored eggs.  Macie knew exactly what she was doing this year.  It was really fun to watch all of them.
Macie was finding all of hers and trying to help Carter find his.
Carter was so fast at finding all the blue ones.  Good Job!
Macie was completely exhausted after the egg hunt so she asked my mom to rock her.  Of course my mom couldn't refuse something like that.
After the kids had done just about everything else they all wanted to go swimming.  This was the first time that they have been all together in the hot tub and I think they had a blast.  All in all it was a great Easter.  Carter did however, fall on his way back into the house after swimming and he cut his head a little but everything was okay.  My tough boy.

Macie's Birthday Party!

The Saturday after Macie's real Birthday we had a party for her.  It was at our house and the theme was Princesses.  She helped me decorate the entire house, we even hung princesses from the ceiling in the family room.  We had everyone over for pizza as part of the party.  That was really fun.  These are all of her cousins.
It was a nice enough day that the kids were able to go outside and jump on the tramp.  Macie got to jump with the bigger kids.  Thanks Shelby for helping her.  She had fun tackling all of the older kids.
Excited Birthday Girl!
She got a whole bunch of stuff for her birthday but these next couple of pictures are the things that she loved.  This Ariel doll can go in the water with her.  Talk about making bath time more fun.

Our Princess has her own chair now.  She loves it and she is very protective of it.  She doesn't just let anyone sit there and Carter has to make sure he askes before he sits, even if she isn't sitting there at that moment.
This bike was her big present from Mom and Dad.  She loves it.  She is still getting used to the whole pedalling thing.
Two handsome DUDE'S
A Queen for the day, A Princess forever!
Macie Moo and her Princess Cake.  I think she liked it.
My Macie is 2!!!
Here is the cake.  I was very proud of this one.  I thought it turned out great

Macie's Birthday

Macie woke up nice and early on her birthday.  Carter was so excited to help her play with the balloons that were all over her floor.
What FUN!!!
Peek-A-Boo Birthday Girl!
For Lunch we went to Leo's Macie loves to ride the tractor, train, and motorcyle rides.
After Leo's we went to Toys R Us to spend her gift certificate.  They gave her a special hat and a balloon and then she picked this bag to carry around.  Such a girl.
That night we went to Grandma Jan's and Grandpa's house to see Steve and Cheri who were here for a visit.  It was really fun to see everyone.  Cheri make cupcakes for Macie and we all sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
She loves anything sweet.
This is the entire Vasas Family.  It was fun to have everyone together.

It's fun being a kid!!!

Grandma's Hot Tub is very popular when it comes to the kids.  Carter is always saying.  I want to go swim in Grandma's Hot Pools PLEASE!!!   So we went out to spend the day.  After they swam in the hot tub they made cookies and watched a movie.  Lots of fun!

I just thought Macie looked so cute sitting here eating her cookies.

A couple of day before Macie's Birthday I was baking the cake and I had some left over cake mix so we made cupcakes.  Then the kids got to frost them and put sprinkles on them.  It is a good thing that I don't like frosting or cake because I would have gained back some of this weight that I have lost.  Instead it is really easy to just let the kids enjoy something fun without feeling like I need to steal one away from them.

Macie loved the purple frosting and she had it all over her face and up her nose.  Silly girl!

Feeding the ducks!

It has been a little while since I have written on my blog so there will be a lot of entries coming.  I just thought I would get started with these cute pictures of the kids feeding the ducks on a nice day.  We still had a little snow so it wasn't the warmest but the kids were begging me to take them so away we went.  They had a lot of fun. Macie was so funny she would get a whole slice of bread and tear off tiny pieces and then throw it at the ducks.  Then Sydnee got bit on the finger before Macie could break up her slice and and while Macie was watching Sydnee a goose came up to her and took her whole slice of bread right out of her hands and she was so mad that she turned around and said HEY!!!  THAT"S MINE!!!
My mom and I laughed so hard it was great.

Can't believe February is over.

Well I can hardly believe that we are in the 3rd month of the year.  February went by so fast.  Here are just a few things that happened the last little part of February.
Valentine's Day.  The kids had a good morning they got some glow in the dark stars for their rooms and then lots of bubble stuff.
Dave bought me TWO bouquets of flowers and we went to a dinner and dance the Friday before. It was a very special dinner and dance because Dave surprised me and sang to me in front of our ward.  It was the song he sang to me on our wedding day.  Very special.  I love you Dave.
All of Carter's friends from church got together and we had a Valentine's party.  They had a lot of fun making their boxes and then handing out their Valentine's Cards.
I thought this picture was great.  Carter was having a lot of fun playing with some of his new birthday stuff.  He was making garages with his Mag-formers.  We didn't have enough to make a big garage for his 4 wheeler but he still wanted it in the picture.
Carter was so excited for Kailey to come on the Tuesday after his birthday because now they both had a V Smile Pocket to play with at the same time.  They loved it and they kept trading games.  It was really cute to hear them helping each other out.
Great-Grandma Birch had her Birthday on the 21st so my mom threw a party for her at her house.  We were all able to get together and have a great day.  Carter was excited to take his swimming suit to Grandma T's and get in the hot tub after everyone left from the party.  He is crazy.  It wouldn't matter if it was 20 below he would still want to go get in the hot tub.
Macie was being silly.  She climbed into the dolly play pin and then Sydnee was covering her with all the little blankets.  They were laughing really hard.  It was really cute.

As for Dave and I we are doing great.  I have actually embarked on a new adventure for myself.  I started on a diet and exercising every day.  It is really hard but very rewarding.  I have already lost 12lbs.  I hit my two weeks tomorrow.  I haven't missed a day of riding my bike and I have been eating so much better.  I feel so good it is actually what keeps me going.
