My Baby is Growing UP!!!

Last week my dad came over and spent a couple of days building a new shed for Dave and I. It turned out great and now we have a space for our lawn mower and snow blower. The kids had a lot of fun helping him. Thanks so much Dad!

After helping my dad all day Carter was really tired and fell asleep in the laundry basket. It was so cute. Macie kept talking to him and giving him kisses. It was so cute.

Carter and Macie got new church clothes for Thanksgiving and so they wore them to Church last Sunday. They looked adorable. I tried to get a picture of both of them together but Macie didn't want to stand by Carter long enough.

My Baby girl is growing up. She got her new bed today. She was so excited that she wouldn't even let anyone else sit on it. This is my little angel after she fell asleep for her nap. Isn't she so sweet? I love you Macie

Halloween Week

These three have really a lot of fun playing during the day.

Carter and Macie loving each other.

These costumes turned out so cute. Thanks for all your help Sherri.

Carter had some friends over for a Halloween party. We had a carnival downstairs and the kids had a lot of fun. We had a cake walk, a fish pond, and a Bing bag Toss. There were prizes and cupcakes afterwards. What a fun day.

Monday we went to Great-Grandma & Great-Grandpa Birch's house to trick-or-treat. The kids had a lot of fun getting candy and they ended up coming home with a couple of new outdoor patio chairs. Sponge Bob and Princess. How perfect for them. Thanks Grandma for the new chairs.

Friday night we were able to go and see their Great-Grandma Horkley. She loves the kids so much. They got candy and played with her puppy. Carter loves to feed her dog treats. They also discovered how fun her porch with the swing was. After we saw Grandma we went to the Doctor because Macie was running a fever of 101.5. I wish I would have checked before we went to see my grandma. I hope she doesn't catch anything. We got to the doctor and he said she had something but he wasn't sure what so just to go home and wait it out. I was really frustrated but Carter said "Can we still go to Aunt Nic's house?" Macie fell asleep in the car and so I told him that we could but Macie would have to stay in the car. So we went over for a little bit and saw Nic, Grandma Jan, Becky, and the 3 girls. Carter was really excited that Julie was there. They play so good together. Carter got some fun things for Trick-or-Treating and then we went home. Macie had a fever all through the night and for a little bit the next morning. About 10:00 it broke and she has been fine since. They both have a pretty bad cough that I am watching but hopefully it won't turn into something bad.

Saturday morning we got the house cleaned and Carter earned some money for helping clean the whole house. Then Dave sat down with Carter and taught him about tithing. Then we carved pumpkins and for lunch we had a Jack-O-Lantern Pepperoni Pizza. The pumpkins turned out great. Carter drew his face on his and then I cut it out. And Dave and Macie worked on hers. Then Carter and I carved a small pumpkin for Tux.

Macie thought it was fun to get the stuff out of the pumpkin

Saturday night before we took Dave to work Carter and Macie got to go to my parents house for their first Trick-or-Treat stop. It was fun and after we took Dave to work I took the kids around our neighborhood. We ended up going to a lot of houses but after an hour both the kids were tired so we went home and passed out candy to all the other trick-or-treaters. What a fun Halloween this year.

Great Pumpkins!!! Carter's is the one on the top by tux's.

Carter and the Hospital!

Carter went into the hospital Tuesday morning to get his tonsils and adenoids out. Carter has had a lot of symptoms lately and the doctor thinks that taking his tonsils out will help fix a few things. Carter was such a little trooper. He got a book from the doctor that explained how the doctor was going to take out his tonsils. The surgery went really well. He spent the night in the hospital and then we came home on Wednesday. He is doing good now but he is really sore. He loves that he can have popsicles all the time.
Tuesday morning before surgery.

My mom and dad brought Macie to see her big brother. She had to wear a mask in order to come in the hospital.

Carter did really good after surgery. I don't think he even cried once.

Carter had a lot of visitors on Tuesday. Grandma "T" and Grandpa Pat came with Macie and brought Carter a new dinosaur that really walks and makes dinosaur sounds. He also got a dinosaur book with stickers. Carter's favorite thing these days are dinosaurs. He watches Dinosaur Train on TV all the time. And Grandpa and Macie picked out a new stuffed monkey for him. Grandma Jan and Grandpa Vasas came and gave him a big Hide and Seek book. Aunt Christy came and brought balloons and a hand held game. Aunt Tiffany came and brought him a new Lightening McQueen Car. Thursday Becky came over to say hi and brought Carter a new coloring book and some stickers. He has loved all the gifts and fun things. It helps to have stuff that he can do while he is sitting on the couch. He has been watching "We're Back", a really cute dinosaur movie, a million times. I took him to Walmart before surgery and he picked that for his hospital movie. Today he is watching "Dinosaur Train" and coloring his fuzzy dinosaur picture that I brought home for him.

Last few weeks!

The last few weeks have been a little crazy, so I haven't been on the computer much. I have put together some pictures of the last few weeks.

Macie and Sydnee sitting on my parents trailer step. We went camping to Indian Creek. It was really fun. We missed Daddy he had to stay home and work.

There were a bunch of boulders all over our camp spot. Carter had a lot of fun climbing all over them and making forts.

Macie is getting ready to go for a four wheeler ride. She was really afraid of them until this camping trip and after the first time she rode on one she wouldn't let me have a break from taking her for a ride.
This was her helmet and goggles she looked so stinking cute.

The colors of the leaves were so beautiful.

And the view was gorgeous.

Carter, Sarah, and Collin were having a really fun time playing in the water. I think that they must not have any feeling in their legs at all. That water was so COLD!!!

Carter was the only one that caught a trout that day. If you are wondering why he is without a shirt it is because he ended up getting completely wet while playing in the water and these pants were the only things that my dad had in the four wheeler.

Carter, Macie, and I spent a day at Daddy's work. He loved seeing the kids and the kids loved being there and swimming.

We went to Utah last week and spent a couple of days. Sherri and I spent the entire time sewing cute costumes and skirts. Thanks Sherri for letting us come and spend some time. Carter and Macie loved seeing their cousins.

Last Saturday was Sarah's birthday. We went to Leo's and had pizza and the kids got to play. Macie and Sydnee are best friends.

Daily Projects!!!

I don't know what it is about the fall but I always seem to get into the mood to clean out my house and rearrange furniture. I guess it is a good thing and it helps get me ready for the winter months when I have to be inside all day. I started with Macie's room, I took out all the Winnie the Pooh decorations and I made it really girly with pinks and purples. I got a new crib bedding set from my brother and so I put that in her crib. She was so excited. She kept going to it that day and pointing at it and talking about it. The next day I did Carter's room. I rearranged his furniture and moved a couple things on the wall. I also went through and organized his toys so that he could see them better. I also went through both their clothes and put into storage the ones that don't fit anymore. I finally had to retire Macie's 0-3 month onesies. She is getting tall. The next day I decided to finally fix my kitchen. I have disliked my kitchen since we moved in. They tried painting it before we moved in but they didn't really paint all of them and what they did paint wasn't done very good. So I went to Lowe's and bought some paint. It took me all day Friday and Saturday to paint the cupboards and doors. Saturday night I was able to put the doors back up. I also patched the wholes where the handles were because someone had the idea to put them in the middle of the doors. As soon as the doors dry really good we are going to put the handles back on towards the bottom so that I can reach them. I really liked the way they turned out after the paint and then yesterday my dad came over and helped me make a shelf above my sink. There wasn't anything there before except a solid board. After we got the shelf done I put some greenery up there and WOW! I finally love my kitchen. I still have a lot of work to do but it is getting done a little at a time.

I am going to be painting the bottom cupboards this week. And I still have to paint the shelf. I can't wait to get everything finished.

Eastern Idaho State Fair

The kids and I got to go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair this last week. It was really fun. My mom and dad took us down and spent the entire day with us. It was a little bit hotter than I normally like but the kids had a lot of fun. And when I say we spent the entire day I mean we spent the ENTIRE DAY! We got there about noon and I think we left sometime around 10:30pm. The fair is something I look forward to each year. I remember going with my family every year and I think it is fun to have that with my kids. The best part about the fair is the food and I think the kids would agree.

Macie wore her glasses the whole day. I think she looks great. She sure got a lot of comments.

Macie was in food heaven. She is our little eater and believe me there was plenty to eat.

Carter had a fun time at McKee's Petting Zoo. He is usually really afraid of things like this but he did really well. He bought a cup of food and made sure that he fed all the goats. We also got to see brand new pot belly pigs. They were born 2 days before we saw them. They were tiny and very cute.

Macie was loving the cotton candy until she realized what it had done to her hand. She was, well upset! She hates getting her hands dirty. I just love that face it is the greatest.

Well, Carter found himself a little girlfriend at the fair. We went on wristband day so Carter was able to ride all the rides he wanted. He loves rides.

This train was one of his favorite rides. I think he rode it about 5 times.

This was the dragon roller coaster. He looks happy in this picture but let me tell you he was not happy after the first time around. I think the ride attendant stopped the ride a little early just because he was screaming and crying so loud. We had to do some damage control after that ride. So we went and rode the train a couple more times.
Carter took some of his own money to the fair this year because all he could talk about was playing the duck game and so he got to play a couple of times and he was so proud that he paid for it with his own money from his wallet. What a fun day. Grandma T and Grandpa Pat had a lot of fun with the kids and I know that the kids enjoyed them too. I also know that they were exhausted when we left so much that I drove home. What a fun Fair. Can't wait until next year.

Labor Day Weekend!

This Labor Day weekend we were able to do a little bit of everything. First we went Friday to Island Park and camped with my parents by Henry's Lake. It is really pretty there. The kids had a lot of fun. They got to stay in Grandma and Grandpa's trailer, go fishing, and ride the 4 wheelers. There aren't a ton of places to ride the 4 wheelers in Island Park anymore but there are still a couple of places you can go. Carter loved playing by and in this stream that was right by the camp spot. Grandpa Pat made him a fishing pole out of a stick and some string. He loved it so much we had to bring it home! Macie had a blast. She just wondered around, usually carrying a chair and ate lots of treats. She seemed to find a lot more than I would have normally allowed her to have. Oh well, we were camping that is what you are supposed to do, (eat treats) right? Anyways, we all had fun. Dave came up Saturday morning to join us. He was such a nice husband and stayed home Friday night so that he could do the paper route and I could go spend the night with my parents. When he got there Saturday my dad took Carter and Dave out on Henry's in the boat and well, Dave claims Carter as his good luck charm. Lately whenever he takes Carter fishing with him he always catches something. Dave caught a 3 lb fish and Carter caught a 2 lb fish. I forgot to send the camera. We came home Saturday night.

My dad had a blast showing Carter how to shoot the BB gun. Carter loved it.

Sunday we got up and went to church and then we headed down to Blackfoot to have dinner with the whole Vasas family. John and Sherri were coming to visit for the night because of the long weekend. Carter was excited to see all of his cousins. Especially Cole. Carter says they are best friends because they are both boys. It is so cute Carter calls him Cole Man. Macie and Madi had fun playing the piano and jumping on the tramp. We had a great dinner and some cake and cheesecake for desert. That night all the grandkids decided that they wanted to stay the night and have a big slumber party. I decided to stay too to help out. What a fun visit. Sherri and I made plans for the kids and I to go to Utah in a couple of weeks to work on Halloween costumes. Carter has decided he wants to be a Cow. I have no idea what I am getting myself into but Sherri said she would help me out.

These three got really quiet that next morning and when we found them they were creating masterpiece crafts. They had made colored water by putting the tips of markers in them. It is amazing what 3, 3 year olds can come up with!
