Random Fun!

Landon's 1st haircut!
Unfortunately he was not this happy during the haircut.

Carter's 1st friend sleepover!
This is Carter's best friend Alex.  They are so much alike it is scary.  They had so much fun.  Dave grilled them a steak for dinner with a side of Mac and Cheese.  Alex loves Dinosaurs like Carter and he loves Skylanders like Carter and he has Trashies like Carter.  And that is just to name a few things.
They slept on the floor in Carter's room.  They plugged in a movie and had some popcorn.
Landon after his haircut.  It is a little shorter than I was expecting to do but it looks really cute.  He is doing so good.  He is really healthy and happy.  He is getting 4 teeth on the top right now, but he is still all smiles.  Plus he has a double ear infection right now.  So that kind of gives you an idea of how good of a baby he is.  He rarely cries and when he does it is usually because he gets scared.  He is tender hearted just like Carter was, actually I think Carter is still pretty tender hearted.

Great-Grandma Birch's 78th Birthday!
All the Great Grandchildren.  Except Carter.  He was at a friends birthday party.
We all met at my moms house and had a homemade soup party.  I made my new favorite White Chicken Chili, Mom made her Clam Chowder, and Tiffany made Taco soup.  Soup is one of Grandma Birch's favorite thing.
Happy Birthday Grandma!
Getting ready to go!

To Grandma's house for cupcakes!
My mom had some cupcake stuff that she had bought for Valentine's Day but the holiday got away from us so one evening we got together to let the kids decorate some cupcakes.
They love doing this.  We made sure that each kid got their own cupcake to take home.  And they all got their very own bowl of icing.  You know how kids are, the knife goes in the icing then on the cupcake then in their mouth and then back into the icing.  Funny kids.
I went down to check on Landon one afternoon and this is what I found.  I laughed pretty hard and ran to get my camera.  I think it is time to lower his bed so that he doesn't climb out.  He is moving around so much and getting so close to crawling.
Cute little legs!

Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day has always been a fun time for me.  I love making it special for the kids and I love being able to have a special day with my hubby.  This year Dave and I found these really cute activity tables and chairs for the kids.  Now they each have their own spot to do whatever they want.  It even has a basket under it for their color books or whatever.  Landon got a cute red shirt that said "Hunk of Burnin' Love"  What a fun morning.  Dave and I gave each other a card and we are saving our special gifts for when we go out to dinner, hopefully this Friday.  Dave really put a lot of love and time into my card this year.  He knows how much I love cards and so he actually went onto Walmart.com and made me one with a family picture on front and pictures of the kids on the inside.  There was also a wonderful quote from Gordon B. Hinckley.  It read "I am satisfied that happiness in marriage is not so much a matter of romance as it is an anxious concern for the comfort and well-being of one's companion.  Any man who will make his wife's comfort his first concern will stay in love with her throughout their lives and through the eternity yet to come."  Then Dave continued the card with saying "Your comfort is my number one concern and always will be.  Happy Valentine's Day."  It was the best card I have ever recieved.  Thanks Dave.  I love you!
Happy Valentine's Day Kids!
Carter's is sport themed to match his room.
I think Landon loved the bow most of all.
Macie got a TinkerBell table to match her room.
Pink Heart Pancakes and Pink Milk for breakfast.
I didn't want Landon to feel left out so he got Pink Rice Cereal for his breakfast.  He thought it looked funny.
Carter got to make his Valentine's box at home this year so we found this plastic bucket and got out the sticky foam hearts and had some fun.

Carter's 6th Birthday

6 years ago I was in labor for 9 hours.  It was the best labor.  Dave and I hung out in the hospital watching TV and taking naps for the entire day and then at 6:30pm Carter came into our lives.  He has been such a joy to us.  I can't believe it has really been that long since we had Carter.  Carter had a great Birthday Party on Saturday but that doesn't mean that the celebration stops there.  On his actual birthday Dave and I always blow up balloons and put them in their room after they go to sleep so that when they wake up on their birthday they are greeted by a room full of balloons.  Then they always get streamers on their door.  This has been our tradition since Carter's 1st birthday.
This was Landon's first time to celebrate Carter's birthday he loved all the balloons on the floor.
The traditional balloon fight!
Peek!
Carter wanted Cinnamon Toast for his birthday breakfast.
The Birthday Boy!!!
After breakfast it was time for school.  Dave got to take Carter to the bus stop while Macie, Landon, and I got ready to take balloons and cupcakes to Carter's school.  After school I picked Carter up and we headed to lunch.  He picked Chuck-A-Rama for lunch and a couple of his cousins Tiffany, Christy, Grandma "T" and Grandpa Pat were able to join us.
6 candles stuck in his scone and chicken breast.  We sang Happy Birthday to him and then a bunch of Chuck-A-Rama workers came in clapping and singing to him too.  He loved all the attention.

After lunch we spent some time in and out of stores trying to find some Skylanders.  Carter got $10 from Valentine Cards, that he got in the mail.  A Birthday card with $20 in it from Great Grandma and Grandpa Birch and a Birthday card with $10 in it from Grandma Jan and Grandpa.  He decided that he wanted to combine all the money he got and buy a whole bunch of Skylanders to go with his favorite game.  I guess this game is so popular that none of the stores can keep the characters in stock so we have to go back in a couple of days when Toys R Us gets a new shipment.  After we found at least one Skylander it was time to meet Daddy at home so that we could go to the Dinosaur Museum.  Carter is still in love with Dinosaurs and we just got this new exhibit at the local Museum and it just so happened that Monday night is family night so we got in for a discounted price.  It was the best activity for Carter's birthday.

The Dinosaur Museum!
On the back of these Dinosaur heads there where these things you could look through to see how Dinosaurs saw.
This pictures makes me laugh.  It kind of looks like T-Rex is posing and smiling for the picture.
We were able to have someone take this picture of our whole family.  It was great to be able to have a picture with all of us in it.  This T-Rex's name is Sue.  She was discovered in Utah by some people that live in Idaho Falls.
This is a little hard to see but Macie is standing in front of a T-Rex skull.
Here is the same skull.  It was so huge.  Carter was in Dinosaur Heaven!
This nice lady asked if the kids wanted to come over and hold one of the fossils bones.  Carter was so excited.
I think this bone was almost as tall as Macie.
Carter was comparing his arm to the Dinosaur bone.
Carter was amazed at how big it was even compared to his Daddy's arm.
The T-Rex named Sue!
Carter and Macie loved the adventure room where they could crawl in and out of caves.
At the top of a mountain.
Macie was really loving her big brother all day.  She kept singing to him and telling him Happy Birthday.
Carter and Macie thought the Tee pee was cool.
Macie is still in love with horses.
Carter had fun getting on things to have his picture taken.
Macie really loved this fossil.  She thought it was cool that it was still in the rock.
Big Foot!
Stegosaurus, Daddy's favoirte Dinosaur.
More fossils!
Landon enjoyed the stroller ride and looking at all the lights.
This was a huge poster on one of the walls.  The kids really liked it.
The Family!
Daddy and Landon running down the ramp.
After we finished at the Dinosaur Museum Carter picked to go to Craigo's for dinner.  He loves the desert pizza that they have.  He was so tired by the time that we got to the pizza place that I am surprised that he even made it through dinner.  But he did and still had a little bit of energy to play some Skylanders when he got home.  He finally did crash and said that he had an awesome birthday.
