January has come and gone so quickly. I feel like Christmas was just yesterday. Life seems to be moving right a long. I am loving every minute of being a mom. It is the best thing in the world. I love all the fun projects and activities that come along with having kids. One thing that Macie is really obsessed about are Barbie's. I have a whole bunch of dolls, clothes, furniture, food, and accessories from when I was little. My mom saved all of it and then gave it to us so that we could let our little girls enjoy them. At Christmas time Macie saw a doll house that Grandma and Grandpa Vasas made for Madi and Saylee, and she fell in love with it. She talked about it all the time and wanted one. So Macie and I decided to make her one. My dad has a big shop that we were able to spend time in to make it. Macie was so devoted to building it. She was by my side for the three days that it took to build it. I think she thought it would be done the first day and so she cried all the way home because we had left it at Grandpa Pat's house. After explaining to her that it would take a couple of days to finish it she was much better. Here are some pictures of the whole process.

Grandpa and Macie putting some final touches on the house.
Mom and Macie starting to spray paint.
Blue, Purple, and Pink FINGERS!!!
Lots of fumes!
Grandpa being brave having his arm there while Macie holds a spray paint can.
One very happy little girl. She hasn't stopped playing with it since we brought it home. The other night I found her asleep right next to it and her hands inside it. I wish I had had my camera it was the cutest thing.
The finished Product!
This is one of the sides. Macie picked all the colors. She even did most of the painting.
It was painted very girly!

This is the top floor. On one side is a balcony for her picnic table and then on the other side is the attic which is the dance room. She had to have a dance room. Grandpa even made her ballet bars. And the floor has a wood finish like her real dance floor.
The middle floor has the bathroom, a laundry room, and a bedroom. We got the carpet from a carpet store. The guy there thought Macie was so cute and sweet about telling him that she needed carpet for her big dolly house that he just gave her these two carpet rugs.

This is the bottom floor. A big kitchen and a big family room. All of the furniture came from when I was little except the bathroom set. The lamp table has a phone and lamp that really work. I think it is one of Macie's favorite pieces of furniture.
Happy Birthday Mom!
This year was my mom's 59th birthday. She loves Godfather's Pizza so we all met there for lunch. We were just going to go there and have lunch but my sister and I got together and planned a little bit of a surprise. We had the room decorated and tons of balloons. We decided that it was her turn to have a party thrown for her. She has been so awesome about our birthdays for the past 30+ years that it felt good doing something for her.
Landon is getting so good about sitting up all by himself. The first day he sat up alone was on Christmas Day. He is growing up so fast.
Landon is crazy about the phone. I think it is because he gets to talk to his dad while he is at work. This day, I kept hearing this beeping sound and when I found Landon I found the source of the beeping sound. I looked at the numbers that he pushed and it was 91. I was really glad that he didn't push another 1 or Talk. Silly boy!
Carter and Landon having brother time. Carter absolutley adores Landon. He is such a great big brother.
This is a new thing that Landon does when he eats. I think he can feel the top teeth that are coming in. Anyways the next couple of pictures are of this funny face that he does.
The food between his eyes is what happens when Dad feeds him. Silly Daddy!
Two kids excited to have Dad home from work.
I just loved this picture. I think he is trying to feel his teeth. Sometimes he will touch then and then laugh.
Landon and Grandpa. We had Grandpa over for dinner a couple of weeks ago. It was fun having him come to hang out with the kids.
Carter had a singing program at school that we were able to go to and see all the songs that they have been working on. It was really fun going to his school. He looks so grown up and he did such an awesome job singing.
He whole class.
Carter behind two of his friends. Alex (on the left) and Tanner (on the right).
Me and Carter after the program was over.
Fat Cats
My mom called a couple of Tuesdays ago and asked if we could all go to this place called Fat Cats. It is an extremely fun place in Rexburg. We had dance that night but when it was over Dave and I and the kids, as well as my sister and her family all met up at Fat Cats. We had never been there so the kids were super excited. They have an arcade as you walk in the door with a couple of little kid rides and then my mom and dad treated all of us to Pizza, Mini Golf (which was very interesting with 4 little kids and two baby strollers), and 10 minutes in a place called Balladium. Balladium is where you go into this neon lit place and shoot Nerf balls at each other. It is so fun the kids where laughing so hard. It was a fun filled night and nice to get out and do something different in the middle of the week. Thanks Mom and Dad.
Macie on what I think was her favorite part of Fat Cats.
They had a baby seat so even Landon was able to ride the mini merry-go-round.
He wasn't sure at first but once it started to go he loved it.
There was this really cute little car that Landon got to sit in and ride next to Kermit the Frog.
Grandma "T" feeding quarters into this thing. Macie and Sydnee refused to get off. Lots of January fun. I am really looking forward to February. Carter's Birthday is coming and I couldn't be more excited.
